GEC “parades” down 3rd Ave for St. Patrick’s Day!

GEC “PARADES” DOWN 3RD AVE FOR ST. PATRICK’s DAY!

On March 26th, nearly 100 of GEC’s participants, staff and family members joined the festivities by marching alongside our friends, neighbors, and community supporters in the Bay Ridge Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade is a staple in Bay Ridge and GEC always looks forward to participating. This year the parade organizers asked a local foundation, the Christian J. Santo Legacy Foundation to sponsor a float for our participants. What a tremendous gesture! It allowed many of our participants with mobility challenges to participate, and boy did we bring our spirit to the parade! Dressed in green, handing out green carnations, beads, shamrocks, and gold (chocolate) coins, everyone had a blast. We were happy to be part of such a joyous celebration in such a great community!
